only 4 days to submit: pepsi's grant to do good for the gulf

pepsi refresh

the pepsi refresh project, a 20 million dollar initiative founded by pepsi to fund people, business and non-profits with good ideas that have a positive impact on local communities has pledged an additional $1.3 million towards a special edition of the grant geared towards states along the gulf of mexico.

for 4 days, pepsi is accepting up to 1000 submissions that benefit the gulf, the best of which will receive grants in increments of $5,000, $25,000, $50,000 and $250,000 (by popular vote).

so get to writing those proposals!

i used to campaign for this fabulous organization in nyc called arts to grow. it’s a non-profit that provides inner city kids in nyc and jersey with art programs after-school, in areas that arts education budgets have been cut. they do loads of great work with schools and community houses to get kids involved with really cool projects like music with found objects, writing their own plays, mask making, hip-hop dance, mural painting, and much more.
arts to grow runs on campaigners, designers, event co-coordinators, pr people and other skills-based volunteers offering pro-bono services. if you’d like to volunteer your skills on your own time just get in touch with mallory, she started this organization and of course she is fabulous. her info is on the website.

Avatar I'm a digital planner at JWT and these are a few web wonders, cultural curiosities, and things I just love. Originally from the NYC area, once found myself living in Sydney and Tokyo, and now I am planted in London. I'll show you a selection of the great (and trivial) things I've encountered. Show some love and drop me a comment here or get in touch @JenBonhomme.
