The best topical brand reaction to social media ever! Hot pocket picking up on the trending tweet to mayor Cory Booker during Sandy and sending hot pockets. Just so good!

Lady Gaga Fires Back At Her Critics of the Day: Last week a misleading and quite unflattering pic of Lady Gaga had critics calling her “meaty” and accusing her of “piling on the pounds.”
So Gaga responded today by launching a new section of her website, Body Revolution, where she posted pics of herself in bra and underwear and brazenly captioned them with a confession: “Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15.”
Then she went a step further: ”Hey Guys its Gaga… Now that the body revolution has begun, be brave and post a photo of you that celebrates your triumph over insecurities.”
In the hours since Gaga issued the challenge to her fans, they’ve flooded her site with stories and pics.
Is it a shameless publicity stunt? Who cares?
Well played, Gaga.

Your Facebook Activity is Now an Ad (via ReadWriteWeb)
Facebook is launching a new ad format called “Sponsored Stories,” which allows participating advertisers to promote your Facebook activity by turning it into homepage ads seen only by your friends. This activity can include “liking” a Facebook page, checking in via Facebook Places or sharing content to the News Feed from a Facebook application.
…
With Facebook’s Sponsored Stories, your activity is now up-for-grabs, available to the advertiser associated with the brand, business or app you interacted with.
Just checked in to a restaurant? That’s an ad. Just liked a brand? That’s an ad. Just shared a news story from the Web? That’s an ad.
saw the guys from a homegrown agency - we are young - speak at go social in manchester. they were befuddled and self-deprecatingly funny. uncommon for a social media conference. seems to me they are on to good things.
